Vergence has built the most powerful quantum computer, and it sits on top of a desk. The current version is a circuit board with 96 logical qubits and 96 physical qubits. No error correction is needed. Version 2 will be a custom FPGA with 7000 qubits, expected in September 2024.
Version 3 will be a micro meter scale fabricated semiconductor with 100,000 qubits expected in early 2025.
Version 4 will a nanometer scale mass producible chip with more than 10 million qubits by late 2025.
Technical Description
- Operates at room temperature, can be placed in smartphones.
- Quantum Register, Quantum Memory
- Performs superposition with quantum gates to run Shor’s algorithm
- 1-to-1 ratio of physical qubits and logical qubits. No error correction needed.
Vergence QC Runs Shor’s Algorithm
Shor’s Algorithm uses quantum computers to factorize large composite numbers
Running Shor's Algorithm is the key test of a quantum computer's power.
Shor's Algorithm can break RSA encryption used to protect information systems throughout the world.
